# HYROS Installation: Snapchat Ads

## IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE STARTING

**Using TripleWhale parameters?** If you already use TripleWhale parameters (`padid={adid}`) on your Snapchat ads, you can skip Step 1 - just complete the integration in Step 2.

## REQUIREMENTS - Collect Before Starting

| Snapchat Business Account Access | "Do you have admin access to your Snapchat Business account and ad accounts?" |
| Existing TripleWhale UTMs? | "Are you already using TripleWhale parameters? If yes, skip Step 1." |

## STEP 1: Install Snapchat Parameters

**HYROS Snapchat Ad Parameter:**
```
?snc_id={{adSet.id}}&h_ad_id={{ad.id}}
```

**If your URL already has parameters, replace `?` with `&`:**
```
&snc_id={{adSet.id}}&h_ad_id={{ad.id}}
```

**If automating:**
In Snapchat Ads Manager, select the campaign containing the ads to track. Edit each ad and find the Website URL or Attachment URL field. Append the HYROS tracking parameter. Save and repeat for all ads.

**If guiding user:**
1. "Go to your Snapchat Ads Manager and select the campaign containing the ads you want to track."
2. "Edit each ad and locate the Website URL or Attachment URL field."
3. "Add the tracking parameter to the end of your URL."
4. "If your URL already contains parameters (has a '?'), replace '?' with '&' in the parameter."
5. "Save your changes and repeat for all ads you want to track."

→ Confirm: "Are parameters added to your Snapchat ads?"

## STEP 2: Integrate Snapchat with HYROS

**Direct URL:** https://app.hyros.com/integrations

**If automating:**
In HYROS, navigate to Settings → Integrations and find Snapchat. Click "Add Account", name the integration, and complete the Snapchat authorization. Select the ad account(s) to track.

**If guiding user:**
1. "Go to your integration settings and find the Snapchat integration: https://app.hyros.com/integrations"
2. "Click 'Add Account', then name the integration however you like."
3. "You will be redirected to Snapchat and asked to log in. Do so and grant the required permissions."
4. "Select the ad account(s) you would like to track."
5. "Complete the authorization and return to HYROS to verify the connection."

**Important:** Make sure you have admin access to the Snapchat Business account and ad accounts you want to connect.

→ Confirm: "Is Snapchat connected in HYROS?"

## TROUBLESHOOTING

### Test your ads
After setting up your tracking parameters, test them by clicking on one of your ads. Check your HYROS dashboard to confirm the click was tracked with the correct ad and adset information.

### Missing campaigns?
If campaigns are not appearing in HYROS, verify that your Snapchat account is properly connected and that the campaigns have active ads with the correct tracking parameters installed.

### TripleWhale Users
If you are already using TripleWhale URL parameter (`padid={adid}`) on your Snapchat ads, you can skip Step 1. HYROS can read TripleWhale parameters directly. Simply complete Step 2 to connect your Snapchat account.
