# HYROS Installation: MGID

## TRACKING PARAMETER

Use this parameter for your MGID ads:

If URL has no existing parameters:
```
https://yourpage.com?sl=YOUR_AD_NAME&htrafficsource=MGID
```

If URL already has UTMs/parameters:
```
https://yourpage.com?utm_source=mgid&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=offer&sl=YOUR_AD_NAME&htrafficsource=MGID
```

## STEP 1: Open MGID Campaigns

**If automating:**
Navigate to the MGID platform and access the Campaigns section.

**If guiding user:**
"Log in to MGID and open Campaigns."

→ Confirm: "Are you in your MGID campaigns?"

## STEP 2: Open the Campaign

**If automating:**
Select the specific campaign that contains the ads you want to track.

**If guiding user:**
"Open the campaign you want to track."

→ Confirm: "Is the campaign open?"

## STEP 3: Edit the Ad

**If automating:**
Find the ad within the campaign and access its edit settings. Look for a Content URL or destination URL field.

**If guiding user:**
"Select the ad you want to track. In the right sidebar, click the pencil icon to Edit Ad."

→ Confirm: "Are you in the ad editor?"

## STEP 4: Add the Tracking Parameter

**If automating:**
Locate the Content URL field and append the HYROS tracking parameter. If URL has existing parameters, use & before sl=.

**If guiding user:**
"In the Ad Editor, locate the Content URL field. Paste the HYROS tracking parameters (?sl=) to the end of the Content URL."

If the URL has NO parameters yet:
```
https://yourpage.com?sl=YOUR_AD_NAME&htrafficsource=MGID
```

If the URL ALREADY HAS UTMs/parameters, paste it with an "&" sign:
```
https://yourpage.com?utm_source=mgid&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=offer&sl=YOUR_AD_NAME&htrafficsource=MGID
```

→ Confirm: "Did you add the parameter to the Content URL?"

## STEP 5: Save

**If automating:**
Save the ad changes.

**If guiding user:**
"Click Save."

→ Confirm: "Is the ad saved?"

## MULTIPLE ADS NOTE

If you have multiple ads: Keep `htrafficsource=MGID` the same, and change only the `sl=` value for each ad (e.g., the ad's name or ID).
