# HYROS Installation: BigCommerce

## REQUIREMENTS - Collect Before Starting

## STEP 1: Install the Universal Script

**If automating:**
Get the HYROS Universal Script from the tracking section. In BigCommerce, go to Storefront → Script Manager → Create Script. Set Location to Header, select All pages, set category to Targeting Advertising, and paste the script.

**If guiding user:**
1. "Copy the Universal Script from your HYROS account (Tracking section)."
2. "Go to your BigCommerce account."
3. "Select Storefront → Script Manager → Create Script."
4. "Inside the Create Script section:"
   - "Fill in 'Name of the script' and 'Description'"
   - "Set 'Location on page' to Header"
   - "Select 'All pages' for 'Select pages where script will be added'"
   - "Script category: Targeting Advertising"
5. "Paste the Universal Script and save."

→ Confirm: "Is the Universal Script installed in Script Manager?"

## STEP 2: Connect BigCommerce to HYROS

**If automating:**
In HYROS, go to Settings → Integrations → BigCommerce → Create New Integration. In BigCommerce, go to Advanced Settings → API Accounts. Create a new API account named "Hyros" with Read-only permissions for Customers, Information & Settings, Orders, Order Transactions, and Products. Copy the Access Token and Store Hash, then paste into HYROS.

**If guiding user:**
1. "Go to Settings → Integrations → Configure BigCommerce → Create New Integration."
2. "Fill in a name for the integration."
3. "For 'Access token' and 'Store hash', go back to your BigCommerce account."
4. "Inside BigCommerce go to Advanced settings → API Accounts."
5. "Set up API account:"
   - "Fill in the Name field with 'Hyros'"
   - "Set the following to 'Read-only': Customers, Information & Settings, Orders, Order Transactions, and Products"
   - "Click Save"
6. "It will automatically download a txt file containing the Access Token and Store Hash."
7. "Copy the Access token and paste it in HYROS."
8. "Find the Store hash in your BigCommerce URL or the downloaded file (e.g., '4pd5jpefmh')."
9. "Paste the Store hash in HYROS and click Save integration."

→ Confirm: "Is BigCommerce connected in HYROS?"

## OPTIONAL: Custom Sales Status

By default, HYROS uses the "awaiting fulfilment" status to register orders as sales. If you use custom order statuses:

1. "Go to your BigCommerce integration in HYROS."
2. "Set a custom status matching your business flow."
3. "We recommend using the status that signifies an order has been paid."

## TROUBLESHOOTING

### Script not firing?
- Check Script Manager settings
- Ensure "All Pages" is selected

### Orders not tracking?
- Verify BigCommerce integration is connected in HYROS
- Check API account has correct Read-only permissions
- Verify Store Hash is correct

### No Script Manager?
- May need to upgrade your BigCommerce plan
